2026 Back to School Event

This year’s theme—Inquiry in Action: Advancing Mathematics Teacher Education Together through Community Conversations—invites us to move beyond simply identifying challenges and toward learning from one another, asking meaningful questions, and taking action together. Throughout the day, we will engage in conversations around timely issues in mathematics teacher education, share ideas and experiences, and explore opportunities for collaboration across institutions and roles.

We hope you’ll join us for a day of connection, collaboration, and community conversation—and share this invitation with colleagues who are committed to strengthening mathematics teacher education across North Carolina.

Where: Watson College of Education, Unviersity of North Carolina Wilmington 

When: September 18, 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM, with optional social gathering afterwards

Event Registration if Member of AMTE-NC: $20 Faculty/Non-student and $10 Graduate Student

Event Registration if Non-Member of AMTE-NC: $40 Faculty/Non-student and $30 Graduate Student

Join/Renew Membership for 1 year WITH Back to School Event Registration: $45 Faculty/Non-student and $20 Graduate Student
